I know it’s officially spring because I’ve just gotten the first announcement of the year for a brand-new gelato shop.

Puro Gelato just opened at Paradise Valley Mall, the creative collaboration of Hyun Wook Lee, former owner of Pure Sushi in Scottsdale, and JNK Concepts Restaurant Group, which owns Roka Akor, Bombay Spice, and San Gabriel Mexican Cafe.

The menu features gelato made from fresh fruits and imported Italian ingredients, sorbet, smoothies, and Illy Coffee. Business hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Call 602-765-4881 for more information.
