Sure, you’ve probably had your fair share of dirty gin martinis while slumped over the Durant’s bar, but do you know the man behind the restaurant? Well, a new film from director Travis Mills will focus on just that. While the local tie of Durant’s Never Closes is a draw, seeing Michael Richards and Pam Grier in one movie is pretty enticing, too.

Although we announced earlier in the summer that Tom Sizemore was cast as the lead in the Running Wild Films look at Jack Durant’s life, it looks like Michael Richards (whom you might recognize as Kramer from Seinfeld) and Pam Grier (best known for her roles in Jackie Brown and Foxy Brown) also will be joining the cast.
While details on the film are still limited, it looks like the film will focus on the seedy aspects of the Durant’s story, including his mafia connections, gambling, and womanizing. The film will follow Durant’s story from growing up in Tennessee to Vegas and finally to his iconic Phoenix steakhouse.
