A few bar nights back I went out with my old friend Yolanda Bejarano, who’s not only a swell girl but an incredible musician, and who’s been cranking out music since I moved here eleven years ago, in bands like Slugger, the Slowdown, and a mariachi band that I forget the name of. I hadn’t heard any of Yoli’s beautiful songs in quite a while, so I dug out some demos she’d given me a while back of two of her projects, Snow Songs and Vampiros de Chihuahua.
