For the second time in a week, Don Imus, the radio host who in 2006 gave J.D. Hayworth what the Hayworth campaign then referred to as an “endorsement,” had some
not-so-nice things to say about the Senate hopeful on his Fox Business
show this morning.
Last week, the I-man called Hayworth a “phony and a creep,” and today he’s taken it a step further, calling the Senate hopeful a “fat, undisciplined maggot.”
As we pointed out last week, given Imus’ “nappy-headed” history, the insults could’ve been worse.
This morning, Imus tore Glenn Beck away from his chalkboard of fear to talk about the Arizona Senate primary between Hayworth and Senator John McCain and Beck’s refusal to support McCain sent Imus into an anti-Hayworth tirade.
“Oh, my God. You’re for that fat phony JD Hayworth?” Imus asked Beck in disbelief. “That fat undisciplined maggot, shock jock, that’s what you’re for?”
Check out the full video after the jump.
As you see in the video, even Beck — the fear-mongering, far-right-wing cry-baby that he is — won’t even get behind Hayworth, despite not supporting McCain and saying it was time for “The Maverick” to go “off into the sunset.”
