It’s bad enough that they’re playing Pearl Jam and Guns N’ Roses on the classic rock radio stations these days.
But now, in a new and unexpected slap in the face to children of the ’90s, alt-rockers Everclear have announced a virtual performance – hosted by AARP. As in, the American Association of Retired Persons.
“You know, there’s a powerful connection between music and brain health, and we’re thrilled to be working with AARP to bring you a virtual performance on August 19,” frontman Art Alexakis says in a short promo video for the event. “AARP studies have shown that music can reduce stress, boost your mood, and inspire movement.”
The concert starts at 5 p.m. Arizona time on Thursday, August 19 – plenty of time for us to have an early dinner and settle into our Barcaloungers for the show.
You don’t have to be AARP age to check out the free event; just go to the website and register.
