Your guide to Art Detour 2026 in Phoenix

There are cultural events and then there’s Art Detour.

The annual arts and culture festival turns March into a month-long celebration across Arizona, with events along Roosevelt Row, throughout the Valley and in communities around the state.

Founded in 1989 and organized by local nonprofit Artlink, Art Detour connects artists, businesses and the public through a sprawling mix of exhibitions, performances and creative happenings. Galleries and art spaces, music venues and smother all businesses participate. The result is less a single festival than a choose-your-own arts adventure.

Art Detour 2026 runs through March 31. Here’s everything to know.

Where is Art Detour 2026?

Art Detour events and activities take place across metro Phoenix, particularly along Roosevelt Row and elsewhere around the Valley. Additional events will also take place in cities like Tucson, Cottonwood and Wickenburg.

Artlink’s PRISM Exhibition Pop-Up Gallery & Boutique
Now through Tuesday, March 31
Biltmore Fashion Park, 2502 E. Camelback Road
More than a dozen Arizona creatives contributed work to this annual pop-up celebrating local arts and culture. The lineup includes painter Laura Spalding Best, visual storyteller Shaunte Glover, sculptors Patricia Sannit and Mikey Estes, fashion designer Galina Mihaleva and visual artist Kenaim Al-Shatti.

“ROYGBIV”
Now through April 11
FOUND:RE Contemporary, 1100 N. Central Ave.
FOUND:RE wraps up its Color Series, which began last year, with an exhibition revisiting some of the bold, vibrant monochromatic works featured throughout the run of shows. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily.

“Love Arizona”
Now through Tuesday, March 31
Richau & Co. Gallery + Boutique, 8700 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale
This group exhibition celebrates Arizona’s landscapes, stories and spirit via the work of local creatives across mediums like watercolor, oil, acrylic and glass. Featured artists include Cyn Silva, Tiffany Featherstone, Terry Amerine and Edna Dapo.

Roosevelt Row and Grand Avenue
Metro Phoenix’s biggest monthly art walk goes into overdrive during Art Detour. Thousands flood Roosevelt Row and Grand Avenue for gallery openings, street vendors, live music, food trucks and pop-up performances that turn downtown into one giant cultural extravaganza and art party.

Oak Street Alley Mural Festival
Saturday, March 14
Coronado Neighborhood
Local artists turn the alleyways of Phoenix’s Coronado Neighborhood into a vibrant outdoor gallery during this annual mural festival. Watch fresh street art come to life throughout the walkable event while enjoying live music and food vendors. Hours are noon to 8 p.m.

“Walking the Path”
Thursday, March 13 to Thursday, March 27
Alwun House
Artist John Tuomisto-Bell navigates the darker corners of the human psyche in his new exhibition featuring monumental cast bronze sculptures and intimate drawings. His works wrestle with intelligence, aggression and violence while serving as a raw meditation on humanity and our shared vulnerability. Hours are noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday. Admission is free.

“Departures”
Thursday, March 20 to Sunday, April 12
Eye Lounge at Modified Arts
This group exhibition will serve as a companion to the gallery’s current show, “Arrivals.” More than a dozen Eye Lounge artists will be featured, including sculptor and printmaker Deborah Hodder, photographer Dean Terasaki and ceramicist Kiel Posner. Paintings, mixed media and other works explore transitions, endings and the moments before something new begins. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m., Fridays; 1 to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 11 to 3 p.m.

Scottsdale Art Week 2026
Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22
WestWorld of Scottsdale
This art fair showcases historical and contemporary pieces from more than 100 galleries from across the U.S. and around the world. Indigenous artists and creatives from throughout Arizona will also be featured. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 20 and 21; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 22.
