When we last put the spotlight on 100 creative forces in Phoenix, it was no secret there were more than 100 individuals who were making waves in the local arts community. So as we count down to our annual Best of Phoenix issue, we’re profiling 100 more. Welcome (back) to 100 Creatives .

Daniel Germani has an agenda. He says he’d like to build you a kitchen, then a console, then a table and some chairs … and before you know it, his aesthetic has taken over your entire home.

Germani was born and raised in Argentina, where he studied architecture before living and working in Rome, Madrid, Brussels, London and Amsterdam. He came to Phoenix in 1998 and earned a degree in International Management from Thunderbird.

Germani says his focus is now on crafted fine hardwoods and veneers with his company DB Woodworks. His furnishings and interiors now adorn some very hip homes and restaurants (think Windsor, Postino) in Phoenix, Tucson, and beyond. But don’t be fooled: He says he’s not done yet — his mission is to take over the world “one room at a time” (and yours might be next).

I came to Phoenix . . . with a dream.

I make art because . . . it’s my addiction. I am obsessed with design.

I’m most productive when . . . I am buried in deadlines.

My inspiration wall . . . is always evolving. It is full of everything I love: architecture, furniture gone loco, graphic design, the food I love and good memories.

I’ve learned the most from . . . my parents, my friends and my mistakes.

Good work should always . . . be honest, inspiring…and well illuminated.

The Phoenix creative scene could use . . . more attention.

The Creatives, so far … (And while you’re here, check out 100 Tastemakers on Chow Bella.)
