Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
Equals an excellent way to decompress after clogging your bowels with Thanksgiving dinner.
Okay, so maybe you don’t need that kind of decompression, but it’s a great way to take in some art and a little exercise before the “soft life” of the holidays really sets in.
Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art’s Friday Night Art Lounge (this Friday, November 28th) kicks off with an invigorating yoga session followed by private gallery tours, healthy snacks and tea provided by Mandala Tea Room, Tarot card readings by Ozma and massages by Parfait Massage.
Not to mention, an exclusive tour of the current show, “Radical Lace & Subversive Knitting” led by Kathy Cano-Murillo (aka the Crafty Chica).
Oh, and here’s the best part: you get to wear your comfy yoga pants.
SMoCA’s Friday Night Art Lounge with yoga begins at 5 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. at Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, 7374 E. 2nd St. in Scottsdale. Tickets are $15 for non-members. Call 480-874-4612 for tickets or visit www.smoca.org.
