Yesterday, local artist and late-night maven Quincy Ross announced the summer closing of his popular Downtown after-hours venue
Luckily, there are a few alternatives that’ll feed your need for endless nighttime excellence (also, be sure to check out local after-hour food spots on Chow Bella). Some of these are considered a little more “above-ground” than Ross’s “The Q”, but when it comes to summer in Phoenix, we’ll take what we can get.

1. Firehouse (Scottsdale)
The line outside this Old Town hot-spot doesn’t get smaller past the hours of 2 a.m. … it gets bigger, along with its party-animal instincts. During the weekends, the place stays open until 4 a.m. and offers munchies and music that are so totally conducive to burning off your Jägermeister buzz.

2. Karamba Nightclub

The Latin nightclub invites you to tango till 4 a.m. on weekends. Though it mostly caters to the LGBT crowd, there’s still a significant amount of hetero clientele knowing how to spice things up until the sun comes up.

3. Afterlife

Housed in the spot that used to be E4 nightclub, this 18+ Scottsdale favorite keeps the energy drink party going until 4 a.m.. The four levels of themed-room goodness includes hookah, espresso bars, casino games and gogo dancers. And of course, Scottsdale Underage Heaven offers a free party bus service to ASU students during the weekends.

4. Gus New York Pizza Lounge

Yeah, there are plenty of places to see and be seen in Scottsdale (and apparently a couple passed 2 a.m..) but how bout a 24 hour pizza joint lounge that kinda looks like one of the Old Town clubs it’s surrounded by.

With a sound system bumpin’ electronica, plush couches, and ’round the clock slices, consider this an “after-hours” pizza party at its finest.

5. The Firehouse (Downtown Phoenix)
Adding “the” and a Downtown Phoenix location isn’t the only thing setting this Firehouse far apart from the other in our list. The downtown gallery space/ performance art venue is rumored to host occasional after-hours events which include flame throwing and other freaky circus shit.

We don’t know a regular schedule behind the late-night affairs that are said to go on in the back area of this joint, but we’re guessing it’s because they’d like to keep it that way.
