If your 2026 resolution is to be more spontaneous (or watch more movies), there’s no time like the present to start.

Harkins Theatres is back with the next installment of its Secret Cinema series tonight, Monday, Dec. 15. Here’s how it works: You buy a $5 ticket (actually $6.85 with taxes and fees) and show up at one of 11 Harkins locations at 7 p.m. When the lights go down, you’ll find out what soon-to-be-released film you’re about to see.

The only clues we’ve got are that the movie is rated PG-13 and the runtime is two hours and 30 minutes.

Earlier Secret Cinema titles this year have included Australian horror flick “Bring Her Back,” Stephen King adaptation “The Life of Chuck,” summer blockbuster “Jurassic World Rebirth” and the Channing Tatum crime flick “Roofman.”

Will you step up to support New Times this year?

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,250 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
