Arizona tech heads, gamers and PC builders have a reason to celebrate. The long-awaited Micro Center Phoenix opening date is set for Friday, Nov. 7. The 35,000-square-foot tech store at 4531 E. Thomas Road will also host two exclusive “VIP Days” on Nov. 5 and 6, giving early access to customers eager to experience the new Micro Center in Phoenix.

Better empty your bank accounts and clear some free time, geeks.

Micro Center officially announced the opening date of its Phoenix store, its first in Arizona, on Thursday. It’s the Ohio-based retail chain’s 30th location in the U.S. and will be just as much of a high-tech Mecca as its other spots.

The grand opening of Micro Center’s Phoenix store will feature influencer appearances, live PC builds, demos and free gifts, such as a Micro Center-branded mug. Patrons waiting in line early will also score additional giveaways. Tech vendors like Intel, AMD, NVIDIA and MSI will also have vendor booths.

‘It’s going to have a ton of tech’

The Micro Center Phoenix store will stock over 20,000 products, including high-performance PCs, the latest CPUs and GPUs, AI-ready hardware, and a full range of tech accessories.

Dan Ackerman, editor-in-chief of Micro Center’s newsletter, told Phoenix New Times in August that the store will also have items for 3-D printing, gamers and makers.

“It’s going to have a ton of tech,” Ackerman said. “The DIY build-it-yourself section is always really huge. The, the laptop and desktop prebuilt section is enormous. The 3-D printing is going to be a big part of it, too.”

The store will feature a Knowledge Bar offering personalized computer help and authorized repairs for Apple, Dell and HP systems. Staffed by tech experts with access to over 3,000 parts and top OEM partners, it often delivers same-day diagnostics and repairs.

Ackerman says local gamers can also level up their gear, particularly those into racing simulators.

“There’s going to be enough room for these really tactile experiences like racing sims and flight sims,” Ackerman said. “The (gear) selection is pretty deep. At the store openings I’ve been to, there’s a whole wall of just steering wheels. They’ve also got tons of frames, all the pedals and everything. There’s this enthusiast core audience for this kind of thing that wants high quality, a ton of selection is really specific about what they want and we aim to please.”
