$15,000

When John O’Hagan isn’t running the Golden Rule Tattoo shop on Roosevelt (in the same strip as Carly’s Bistro), the vegetarian 20-something is at home caring for his puppy and pot-bellied pet pig.

What are you wearing right now? (And if you’re not wearing anything, for Pete’s sake, go get dressed!)
Haha, you knew I probably wouldn’t be wearing clothes! I’m wearing Arizona skinny jeans (reppin’ our state), a button up dress shirt that looks like a really sweet Fred Perry shirt (but I spent $8 on it instead of $70), a pair of khaki colored slip-ons (that I somehow make work as “dress shoes”), and glasses I got at Buffalo Exchange for 10 bucks (that are not prescription, but help older people get over the fact that I’m a young businessman).

What is the last item of clothing you bought?
My first pair of shorts for the summer. I cut a pair of old jeans but I cut them too short and no one wants to see my bare thighs in the sunlight (I’m pretty pale where the skin shows through my tattoos). So I got stuck buying a pair of regular old shorts to rock this summer.

What is the item of clothing you most covet at the moment?
I saw a kid wearing a pair of Fred Perry shoes that looked awesome, but I’m gonna wait until I can find a knock-off for a lot cheaper.

Give us a childhood memory of you and clothes:
I tried (and still try) to wear as little as possible when appropriate. Maybe that’s why I got into such large scale tattoos to cover up my bare skin. I don’t want stuff hanging all over me all the time and my Mom says that as a kid, I was the same way.

Name five items every man should have in his closet:
Confidence, good tattoos, jeans, good shoes and band shirts. Us guys have it easy.

Name an item of clothing that’s best when it’s vintage:
Band shirts for guys (we know you didn’t see Black Flag in 1987, but it’s a rad shirt regardless).
