The Phoenix Brides of March returns Saturday when a roving horde in thrift-store wedding gowns invades downtown Phoenix for a wild bar crawl.
During the Phoenix Brides of March, participants don veils and thrift-store bridal wear, hop the Valley Metro light rail and hit bars like Charlie’s Phoenix, Kobalt Bar, Sazerac, Crybabys and The Pemberton.
The event is free and organized by the Arizona Cacophony Society, the prank-loving collective behind some of the Valley’s strangest happenings. Anyone 21 or older can participate. People of any gender identity or sexual orientation are welcome.
Expect thrift-store couture, a high-heel race and plenty of chaotic fun as the mobile bridal party hits each stop. Here’s how the Phoenix Brides of March works, where to score a dress and how to join the wild downtown bar crawl.
