Valentine's Day may be right around the corner, but people are interested in sex all year round. And a new report says that people in Arizona are some of the kinkiest of the kinky.

Website QR Code Generator analyzed the average monthly searches for various popular sex toys and accessories, including "Fleshlight" and "anal beads," across American states. The ranking was determined by the number of searches per 100,000 people.

According to the study, Arizona comes in seventh on the list of states looking for help getting their freak on, with 562 average monthly searches per 100,000 people. With a total of 40,280 monthly searches, this means one in 178 Arizonans are researching the topic.

The state residents’ favorite keywords are "Fleshlight," with an average of 9,910 monthly searches, followed by "rose toys" and "butt plugs," with 8,110 and 5,410 searches, respectively.

Washington state tops the list; 1 in 167 residents are searching for sex toys. Their top three search terms are the same as ours; in fact, "Fleshlight," "rose toy" and "butt plug" are the top searches in most of the highest-ranked states on the list (in case you were wondering what to get your sweetie for V-Day).

The full list of the top 10 is below, along with the average number of searches per 100,000 people

  • 1. Washington, 599
  • 2. Nevada, 596
  • 3. North Carolina, 586
  • (tie) 4. Texas, 580
  • (tie) 4. Georgia, 580
  • 6. Colorado, 574
  • 7. Arizona, 562
  • 8. Tennessee, 561
  • 9. Utah, 551
  • 10. California, 541

Marc Porcar, CEO of QR Code Generator PRO S.L, commented on the findings, “People are usually shy when talking about what rocks their world in bed, even now, though it’s true that there are more discussions about it than in the beginning of the century.

“Interestingly, our research shows that even states considered more conservative, such as Utah and Tennessee, rank higher than those deemed more open-minded, such as California. This shows that people may still be more comfortable searching and talking about certain topics in the privacy and anonymity of their browser searches.”
