Thrills and chills await at Alwun House's annual Monsters Ball, which will be occupied by creepy creatures and nightcrawlers aplenty. Performers on tap for this year's event include Romantasy Cabaret, Opendance, Lady Purple, and others. Freaks and fiends will flock to this Scottsdale spot after nightfall for the insidious-sounding Dark Carnival block party, which will feature an enormous array of DJs, producers, and EDM artists. The Rocky Horror Picture Show fanatics of local troupe Frankie's Fishnets will perform a special Halloween night shadowcast of the cult film, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, on Saturday, October 31. 9 p.m.; general admission is $15, VIP access is $125. Meanwhile, the #Halloween2K15 party will also be taking place at the event center and will feature a costume contest and local hip-hop artists Getitindy, C2Saucy, Chris O'Bannon, Mimi Green, M. A warning to anyone who attends this infamous annual rave: make sure to wear something you wouldn't mind being drenched with fake blood. That's because countless gallons of the crimson liquid will by sprayed and squirted upon the crowd throughout this 10-hour underground dance party that kicks off on Halloween night and goes until well into the next day. Nine DJs will drop hardcore, harsh and dirty electro, industrial, terrorcore, EBM, and other harder-edged sounds throughout the event. 9 p.m.-7 a.m.; $10 in advance, $13 at the door. Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

The resort's Plaza Bar will be drenched in fog and haunted by curious characters during the Spellbound on the Bayou affair, including fortunetellers, bone-casters, and voodoo queens.
