Whatever you think about the fast fashion issue, SHEIN is a global retail powerhouse, racking up more than $30 billion in revenue in 2023.
Now, customers can get their fast fashion even faster: The company is setting up shop at Tempe Marketplace for four days, Friday through Monday, May 23 to 26.
It's SHEIN's third pop-up in Arizona and second at Tempe Marketplace, says SHEIN spokesperson Angela Tucciarone. "We selected the Valley as a pop-up location thanks to our strong customer base in Arizona, which ranks among SHEIN's top 20 markets nationwide. The pop-up is a way to show appreciation for the loyal Arizona community and connect directly with customers.”
The pop-up shop, which will be housed in the former Rolling Rack space directly across from Nike, will sell men's, women's and plus-size options, along with beauty, footwear, handbags, accessories and more.
“We combine sales trends, local weather, and event stats to curate a selection of items tailored to each pop-up audience," Tucciarone says.
For Tempe, that includes "fashion trends (that) are centered around comfort, color and streetwear influences. In the women's category, pastels like butter yellow, light pink and baby blue are defining the season, complemented by ruffles and flowy silhouettes. Casual streetwear continues to be a standout category, especially among SHEIN fans in Arizona," Tucciarone says. "For women, SHEIN fans in Arizona have been shopping for camouflage-printed tees, tube tops, denim shorts and leggings. For men, loose-fitting casualwear and athleisure are leading trends, with popular SHEIN picks including graphic tees, textured collared shirts and parachute pants.”
Hours are 1 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Monday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Tempe Marketplace is located at 2000 E. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe.
