TopGolf to Open Second Location in Gilbert

TopGolf is opening its second location in the Valley on Friday, December 12, and it's more or less exactly like the first.

TopGolf Gilbert will be located at 1689 S. SanTan Village Parkway, which will be far more convenient for the southern half of the Valley than the Talking Stick location.

At the media preview event on December 3, TopGolf managers and executives revealed that while the new location will feel and seem the same as the company's other locations, the facilities are always being updated to feature the latest technology and trends on everything from color scheme to food and drink selection. There are currently about a dozen TopGolf locations worldwide, with dozens more planned over the course of the next few years.

With monthly parties and events, such as the Ugly Sweater Party on December 13, TopGolf Gilbert hopes to capitalize on the growing population of the southeast Valley to become as much of a social destination as the Scottsdale location currently is.

Opening a second location during Phoenix's peak winter season seems like it should be an easier sell for the first few months than TopGolf Scottsdale was when it opened over the summer, but it's yet to be seen if the demand for the social/sporting activity is high enough to support multiple locations in the Valley.

According to a TopGolf presentation, the company also plans on opening a location in Glendale in a few years.

TopGolf will open at 9 a.m. every day and close at midnight Sunday through Thursday and at 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Prices range from $25 to $45 per hour depending on the time of day, or you can get one of the many monthly memberships, if you're going to play more than a few times per month.
