Oddsmakers and critics are predicting “Anora” as the Best Picture favorite. Demi Moore and Timothée Chalamet? Likely winners in their respective acting categories, as are Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldana.
But anything can happen with the Academy Awards, including shocking upsets and surprise moments. (We’re hoping indie eco-fable “Flow” will upend studio-backed juggernaut “The Wild Robot” for Best Animated Feature.)

When are the Oscars?

Here’s where to see the Oscars around the Valley on Sunday:- The Joy Lush Club, 24 W. Camelback Road: Red-carpet arrivals will be shown on the big screen beginning at 3:30 p.m. followed by the Oscars ceremony. Drink specials include $20 “bottles of bubbles” and $6 Hazy drafts.
- GenuWine Arizona, 888 N. First Ave.: The festivities begin at 5 p.m. with popcorn and wine flights available for purchase. Patrons can fill out ballot prediction sheets and win prizes. Admission is free.
- Stacy's @ Melrose, 4343 N. Seventh Ave.: Walk down a red carpet and partake in themed cocktails. The free event starts at 5 p.m.

Where to watch Oscar 2025’s Best Picture nominees
Want to catch every Best Picture nominee in one epic sitting and don’t have any plans for Saturday? The AMC Esplanade 14, 2515 E. Camelback Road, will host a 24-hour marathon screening of all 10 films starting at noon on March 1. If you’d prefer a more sensible option that won’t result in sleep deprivation, the Cinemark Mesa 16, 1051 North Dobson Road in Mesa, and multiple Harkins Theaters locations will offer screenings of every Best Picture nominee through March 2.
