2025 Academy Award nominations were announced on Jan. 23, marking the beginning of many filmgoers’ Oscar scramble: the rush to see as many nominees as possible before the awards ceremony, which will be held on March 2.
To help, local cinema chain Harkins Theatres will again present its Best Picture Film Fest from Feb. 14 to March 2. Really just a series of screenings rather than a proper festival, the Best Picture Film Fest brings all 10 nominees back to theaters with a ticket price of just $5, or $40 for an all-access pass that includes all 10 films.
This year’s crop of potential winners includes a Cannes Palme d’Or winner, the long-awaited film version of a beloved Broadway musical and a stylish and shocking horror flick. The full list of nominees is:
- A Complete Unknown (R)
- Anora (R)
- Conclave (PG)
- Dune Part II (PG-13)
- Emilia Pérez (R)
- I’m Still Here (PG-13)
- Nickel Boys (PG-13)
- The Brutalist (R)
- The Substance (R)
- Wicked (PG)
