Four new dining options, including a new outpost from a Michelin-starred chef, are coming to Desert Ridge Marketplace.
The north Phoenix dining, shopping and entertainment destination, located northeast of Loop 101 and Tatum Boulevard, has dozens of places to grab a drink or a bite to eat. Right now those are mostly taverns and fast-casual chains. These new eateries will infuse more global flavors in Desert Ridge, promising Brazilian, Indian and Japanese cuisine.
“We’re thrilled to bring a world of flavors to Desert Ridge Marketplace,” Jenny Cushing, the vice president of leasing at Desert Ridge’s owner Vestar, said in a news release.
Here are the four new spots coming to Desert Ridge.

Nadu’s first location opened in Chicago in April 2025, serving modern Indian cuisine.

The team behind Chandler’s acclaimed Feringhee Modern Indian Restaurant will open Nadu in February. Chef Sujan Sarkar opened the first location of Nadu in Chicago earlier this year, and already it has earned a place in that city’s Michelin Guide. Sarkar’s other Chicago restaurant, Indienne, has one Michelin star — the first such honor for an Indian restaurant in Chicago.
The Phoenix restaurant and lounge will span more than 4,000 square feet and “promises a bold, immersive taste of India,” the news release said. Feringhee is among Phoenix New Times’ Top 100 restaurants. This expansion northward brings more fine Indian dining and drinks to the Valley.

Kajiken, a restaurant from Nagoya, Japan, known for its abura soba, or soupless ramen, will open its first Arizona location by the end of 2025. The menu features customizable bowls with thick noodles and signature sauces, as well as donburi and ramen. Its 1,700-square-foot restaurant in Desert Ridge will boast authentic decor, the release said.

Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse is a churrasco dining experience.

Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse will introduce churrasco dining to Desert Ridge in summer 2026. The Florida-born Steakhouse will occupy a 7,669-square-foot space, its first in Arizona. The decadent dining service starts with stations offering charcuterie, salads, soups and pork belly feijoada. Once diners are settled in, servers stop by tableside to carve slices of chicken, lamb and steak.

Drinkers can sip internationally inspired nightcaps at Globe in the Dark. The intimate, 800-square-foot lounge is expected to arrive in early 2026. This after-hours bar will serve a seasonal food menu, host happy hour specials and offer a passport-esque loyalty card so you can log where each drink takes you.
