What’d you eat for dinner last night? A lovely veggie sandwich on toasted rye.
Favorite food: Pizza margherita.
Least favorite food: Fish of any kind.
Favorite dessert: Pumpkin pie.
Favorite local restaurant and meal to order there: Haji Baba Middle Eastern deli and grocery. I get the falafel sandwich. It’s damn tasty.
Favorite drink and place to get it: Conspire has the best iced toddy in town, in my opinion.
Favorite thing to cook at home: I make really good chili.
Favorite memory involving food: Eating a strawberry off of (local comedian) Ryan Avery’s stomach.
Recipe or food tip to share: In a big tortilla, cover half of it with shredded Mexican cheese, add a layer of cooked black beans, some pico de gallo or chopped tomato and onion, and another layer of cheese. Fold it over and sautee it up in a skillet until the cheese melts on both sides. Eat it. It’ll cure what ails ya.
