Pretty Decent Concepts has been building the buzz around their upcoming Valley restaurants for the last year. This month, two of those spots are ready to make their debut.

Cleaverman and Filthy Martini Bar are scheduled to open at the Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix on Nov. 21.

These concepts are the latest from the hospitality group behind Tempe’s Filthy Animal and Drop Dead Gorgeous, and downtown Phoenix neighbors Wren & Wolf, Carry On, Trophy Room, Chico Malo and Creampuff Donuts.

Cleaverman and Filthy Martini Bar are located at Arizona Center.

Cleaverman will be the main concept, a steakhouse the group imagines as “the master of an elite guild of butchers, a secretive brotherhood where technique is earned through years of apprenticeship,” according to a news release.

The 10,000-square-foot space will seat over 300 customers and will include a grand dining room, a “statement” bar and private dining areas, the release explains.

“Downtown Phoenix deserves an institution,” Teddy Myers, Founder of Pretty Decent Concepts, said in the release. “Cleaverman was built with soul, swagger, and staying power. If we get it right, it will be timeless and outlast us all.”

The kitchen will be led by chefs Ivan Gonzalez and Jared Porter, who have crafted a menu of steak and seafood dishes, including dry-aged cuts, prime rib, Japanese and Australian Wagyu, and a 3-pound lobster thermidor.

Cocktails in the steakhouse will include the Cleaverman Martini made with either celery-infused gin or vodka and lemongrass tincture, the Maple & Smoke which blends Irish whiskey with shiitake maple syrup and the Artful Dodger, a tipple featuring chai-infused cognac, sherry and pineapple.

Filthy Martini Bar will feature live piano music and servers dressed to the nines.

For those looking to focus on the drinks, Filthy Martini Bar will be just the place. The hidden bar will be accessed through a back corridor, where customers can venture and expect live piano music, servers in tuxedos and plenty of vintage glamour.

The two new concepts are the latest for the rapidly expanding restaurant group. Next up is Roman God of Fire, an Italian restaurant with its own interior bar set to open in Tempe in early 2026.
