Free live music, discounted bourbon, and a special lounge menu are three good reasons to start hitting up Bourbon Steak on Thursday nights, beginning on January 15. From 7 to 9 p.m. in the restaurant lounge, there will be performances from local blues bands (The Blue Zone will kick off the series), and 25 percent off a selection of nearly 20 handcrafted bourbons.
To eat, there will be a selection of po’boy sliders (three for $15 or five for $22) on housemade petite baguettes, including oyster, duck confit, Dungeness crab salad, barbecued beef shortribs, and mesquite-grilled vegetables. Duck fat fries are $4, and the Thursday-only entree, available in the lounge and the restaurant, is buttermilk fried chicken with bacon waffles and maple-bourbon jus ($22).
