Heard of Corey Nyman? He’s a restaurant consultant and fledgling winemaker who’s worked for celebrated chefs in dining establishments such as Spago Beverly Hills, Valentino at The Venetian, and Mesa Grill at Caesar’s Palace.

From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., this Sunday, August, 28, Nyman will be taking a break from his restaurant whirligigs to take on Cowboy Ciao owner Peter Kasperski in a friendly duel of the palate at Cowboy Ciao.

Five courses with two wine pairings for each will be served with guests deciding the winner. Goodies include braised pork cheeks, roasted wild boar shoulder, and a chocolate sandwich courtesy of pastry chef Country Velador.
