JoJo’s Shakebar, a creative spot brimming with neon and nostalgia, has closed its restaurant and dessert shop at the Scottsdale Quarter. It was the chain’s only location in Arizona.

JoJo’s is a full restaurant, with a menu of snacks, sandwiches, salads and soups. But the chain is most well-known for its creative sweet treats and bar. The “Biggie Shakes” are colorful creations rimmed with candy pieces, topped with cotton candy, doughnuts and cookies and overflowing with sprinkles and syrups. The sweet menu also includes floats, hot chocolate and popsicles.

While the kids got a sugar rush, parents could sip something stronger from JoJo’s full bar menu. The creativity and candy made their way into cocktails as well, including the cotton candy-topped Trix Are 4 Kids and the Cereal Killa rumchata, served in a shot glass made out of Fruity Pebbles.

JoJo’s was a popular destination for holidays throughout the year, as the shake shop not only crafted special menus but went all out with seasonal events such as a Christmastime Winter Wonderland, Easter Experience and the summertime Camp JoJo’s. In the fall, the restaurant’s locations become individual pumpkin patches, complete with decorations, pumpkin pie-topped shakes and pumpkin painting events.

The Scottsdale location shared the news of its closure via social media.

“Thank you to everyone who supported JoJo’s ShakeBAR Scottsdale over the past two years. We are officially closed and will deeply miss our amazing guests who made this location so special,” the announcement said.

The post also encouraged fans to visit the chain’s other locations in Illinois, Michigan and Florida.
