A sustainable sushi chain will debut in Arizona, joining popular eateries serving brunch, burgers and wine for the first time in Queen Creek.

Bamboo Sushi is the latest restaurant coming to The Switchyard, a 10-acre, $120 million project that broke ground at the northeast corner of Ellsworth Loop and Ocotillo roads in May. The Portland, Oregon-born sushi spot will join a host of other incoming restaurants at the walkable development, which will also include shops, offices and 215 luxury apartments.

“The caliber of tenants joining The Switchyard reflects the demand we’re seeing for a concentrated dining and retail environment in Queen Creek,” David Sellers, co-founder of developer Creation, said in a press release. “As the buildings rise, the leasing activity behind them confirms that this district is resonating with both national brands and local concepts looking to be part of the town’s growth.”

The Switchyard, a new Queen Creek development, will feature restaurants including the popular burger chain Shake Shack.
