If your plans for tonight included Ghost Donkey, you'll need to pick a different bar.

While many restaurants and bars around the Valley are offering dining deals and discounts to help their customers get through Election Day, others have decided to close.

For some, this is to allow staff members time to visit the polls and cast their vote. Award-winning Scottsdale restaurant FnB shared an explanation with its closing announcement.

“We offer paid time off to our team because voting and policy outcomes impact our industry, community and preferences for living,” the announcement reads. “We look forward to serving you tomorrow!”

Other spots around town have closed today “for training,” according to social media announcements, including Ghost Donkey, Cham Pang Lanes and Palma. The three downtown Phoenix spots share a block and are owned by the same company.
