Mark your calendars, Phoenix, because on Saturday, May 9 we’re going to announce this year’s Big Brain Award winners at the 5th annual Artopia at The Monarch Theater.
Over the next few weeks we’ll introduce you to each of the finalists, including the three finalists in the Culinary Arts category, but in the meantime, you may want to secure your spot for the big event.

Artopia 2015 are on sale now for $25 and can be purchased online.
Culinary Arts finalists Brazen Chocolate and Uptown Farmers Market will provide food samples, as well as local restaurants including Barrio Urbano.
Drinks will be provided by Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, Woodwork Wine, Roger Clyne Mexican Moonshine, AZ Distilling Company, and Ketel One.
The party will also include musical performances from Ichi Sound, stage performances from Rising Youth Theatre and Halo Movement Collective, video and photos from Jon Jenkins, and art and hair design from Jorge Ignacio Torres of Palabra.
Tickets include three beer samples, three cocktail samples, and one wine sample. Artopia is a 21 and over event. Doors will open at 8 p.m. and the event goes until midnight. For more information check the 2015 Artopia microsite.
