If you want a taste of cocktail culture’s cutting edge, head to the farm.
I’m being literal: Make your way to the Farm at South Mountain this evening, and try Quiessence’s new Farmhouse Cocktails at a discount.
From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. every last Thursday of the month, chef Greg LaPrad’s award-winning restaurant will host a Half-Price Cocktail Social Hour.
The new craft cocktail list sounds scrumptious and makes use of the best farm-fresh ingredients — there’s an old fashioned made with fresh peach and orange, an organic basil gimlet, a blackberry bramble, and more unique concoctions to quench your thirst.
In case you haven’t read your September issue of Bon Appetit yet, there’s a trend piece on page 76 detailing exactly how this “farm-to-bar” approach is the latest development in the cocktail revolution.
Once again, Quiessence pushes the envelope. Are you surprised? I’m not.
I’m just thirsty.
