Keep Phoenix New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
If you’re gearing up for a Labor Day barbecue or just planning your weekly grocery store visit, make sure to check the time on Monday. Banks and the post office will be closed for Labor Day. For the most part, Phoenix supermarkets will stay open, although some will have limited hours. One store is closed altogether.
If you want to avoid the headache, let the pros do the grilling this holiday. Plenty of Phoenix restaurants are ready to help celebrate with dining deals and specials.
But if you can’t skip the supermarket on Monday, here’s which grocery stores are changing their hours for Labor Day weekend.
Closed on Labor Day:
All Valley locations of Costco will be closed on Monday.

Sam’s Club locations are closing shop early on Monday.
