Joey's of Chicago

The proliferation of Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches in the Valley continues with this local chain, whose stores are adorned with all things Windy City: street signs, sports regalia, a mural of the city's famed skyline, even a Chicago map on which locals can pinpoint their provenance. The good news for the Valley's many transplants from that toddlin' town is that the all-beef Vienna dogs are among the best we've found. The Italian beef sandwiches (served with sweet or hot peppers, dry or dipped in the beef's jus) are no less flavorful, but unfortunately tend to be on the oily side. A wide array of burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish and chips, subs, sausage sandwiches, salads, sides, and chili round out the extensive menu at Joey's.
