Original Cuisine

If you've ever spent time eating in China, the aromatic dining room of Original Cuisine will bring you back. The Mesa eatery's exterior is unassuming, but inside its busy, welcoming, and modern. The menu leans Szechuan-style; items include Chongqing lo mein, spicy duck wings, breaded spareribs, stone pot-braised tofu, black pepper beef, and kung pao chicken. If you're out for a special occasion — or if you just really enjoy posting food photos — the pork belly with garlic sauce is a must. With its thin strips of pork belly draped over a wooden rack, all of it hanging over a bowl of garlic sauce, it's a major statement dish. It tastes good, too — as do most things at Original Cuisine.
