Sushi out of a food truck? Why, yes. Sushi Mocorito is a popular food truck stand located near the corner of 35th Avenue and Van Buren Street that specializes in Mex-sushi fusion. On any given night, you’ll find a crowd of folks snacking on specialty rolls like the Mocorito Roll, which you can enjoy stuffed with either blue crab or shrimp. There are also cheesy, oven-baked rolls, including the everything-but-the-kitchen-sink Llegadora, which is stuffed with blue crab, beef, chicken, and shrimp. For a truly indulgent dinner with friends, order the charola mixta, a sort of party platter featuring four of the truck’s most popular rolls. And if you’re not in the mood for deep-fried or baked sushi, Sushi Mocorito also sells more traditional rolls.
