It also packs just as much star power, courtesy of his legendary musician friends.
Cooper’s annual Coopstock benefitting his Solid Rock Teen Centers returns on Saturday, March 15 to Mesa’s Las Sendas Golf Club. Like Christmas Pudding, the event features individual sets by iconic rockers culminating in a set by Cooper and the entire lineup.
Solid Rock’s Randy Spencer says Coopstock has more festival-like atmosphere than its sister event.
“Coopstock is pretty much Christmas Pudding on an outdoor golf course,” Spencer says. “It's got an engaging format geared towards entertaining a bigger crowd at a larger venue on a beautiful property. People can grab lawn chairs, blankets and sit outside and see some amazing music.”
They’ll also encounter with some notable rock gods.
Coopstock’s 2025 lineup includes Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, Cheap Trick frontman Robin Zander and Living Colour vocalist Corey Glover. Stand-up comedian Ron White will also perform, and the student artists from Solid Rock’s music-based training and outreach programs will open the evening.
Spencer says when Coopstock’s celebrity and rock star performers join forces with Cooper during the event’s jam session-esque grand finale, the results can be spectacular.
“We've had some magical experiences,” Spencer says. “Last year, Alice did ‘Roadhouse Blues’ by The Doors with Patrick Warburton and Tommy Thayer from KISS joined him on stage. All the performers jump in on random songs. They're like kids in a candy store playing with a lot of their rock 'n' roll heroes."
