Banana Gun is a busy band. On average, this local blues/rock group performs twice a week, often playing free shows at Long Wong's Firehouse and Yucca Tap Room. Drummer Ian Breslin describes "Sometimes," a rhythmic guitar-driven song from the band's debut EP, as a fan favorite.

"'Sometimes' is a song about how inspiring heartbreak can be. It's common for expressions of art and creativity to be centered around a broken heart. There has been a lot of really good songs written over the years about it. When things are rough, it's easier to write songs," he says.

Lyrics by Kevin Loyd

I don't want to lose you girl But I know you gotta leave Said if you love someone You know you gotta set them free

You've been talking lot about leaving I hate to see you go You know I'll never be the one Never be the one to tell you no

Sometimes Sometimes you really blow my mind You really blow my mind

I don't want to lose you girl But I know you gotta leave Said if you love someone You know you gotta set them free

You've been talking lot about leaving But you left me with no doubt Cause every time you do me wrong You give me something to sing about

Sometimes Sometimes you really blow my mind You really blow my mind
