Over the Weekend: Santarchy, Violet Wild and Video Game Music

A hundred or so pub crawlers dressed as jolly old St. Nick went in search of booze in a bar hop they affectionately refer to as Santarchy. Not enough Santa for you? The big man himself also made a stop at Salty Senorita in Peoria this weekend brining a mound of snow with him. 

It's nearly 1 a.m. and I'm a few drinks into the night. I'm at Tempe's Last Exit Bar & Grill to watch Violet Wild, one of my favorite local pop-rock bands who used to play anywhere and everywhere a year ago and pretty much whored themselves out in the local music scene - playing gigs almost every week. It's been awhile - at least three or four months - since I last caught them live and I can't help but get caught up in the cheesiness of the band tonight. It's everywhere!..full story
