In 2016, Willie Nelson launched the Outlaw Music Festival tour. This roaming event was a celebration of outlaw legends like Waylon Jennings that also saw Shotgun Willie performing alongside some of the finest names in country, folk and blues. Now, with the event celebrating its 10-year anniversary in 2025, Nelson is getting the band back on the road (as it were) for another star-studded North American tour across summer and fall.
The tour officially kicks off May 13 at Phoenix's Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, and features performances by Willie Nelson & Family, Bob Dylan, Billy Strings, Sierra Hull and Lily Meola. And the festival moniker is no marketing gimmick, either, as the tour places a heavy emphasis on food, drink and other cultural activities to really make this outing feel like a proper down-home shindig at every new stop.
Across the tour, Nelson will be joined by even more A-list talent, including Sheryl Crow, Waxahatchee, The Avett Brothers, Lake Street Dive, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, Tramped by Turtles and Tami Neilson. Phoenix is also a popular spot for Nelson as he's played here many times over the years (most recently in April 2024).
"What an amazing lineup to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Outlaw Music Festival tour," says Nelson in a statement. "I can’t wait to join friends and family in bringing this celebration to the fans we love."
Tickets for the show are on sale Friday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. local time via OutlawMusicFestival.com.
