Pitbull to headline all-day, East Valley music festival

Mr. Worldwide is on the roster at this 'throwback' event featuring hip-hop, pop and R&B acts.

Pitbull is returning to the Valley. This time, he’ll be headlining Activated Events’ Party in the Park on Saturday, November 8, at Gilbert Regional Park.

In addition to the energetic rapper, known for hits like "Fireball" and "Give Me Everything," the all-day music festival has several artists on board for what the hosts are calling a “high-energy event.”

Grammy Award-winner Shaggy, Ginuwine, Baby Bash, MIMS and Ying Yang Twins are all part of the loaded entertainment roster.

The team at Activated Events is excited to activate Gilbert with this type of shindig. “Arizona has embraced Boots in the Park and The Smoke Show, and we knew it was time to bring something fresh, fun, and full of energy. Pitbull is the perfect artist to kick things off. Arizona is in for a party it won’t forget, their CEO Steve Thacher said in a statement regarding the festival.

On the agenda, in addition to a stage filled with lively acts — some of which the event hosts like for their ‘nostalgic throwback hits,’ the day will offer guests more than tunes.

This isn't the team at Activated Events' first rodeo. And by 'rodeo,' we mean music festival. They are behind several music festivals in Tucson and California, like Boots In The Park, Coastal Country Jam and The Smoke Show. They say their mission with Party in the Park is to create a "vibrant outdoor music festival that blends incredible live entertainment, craft food & beverages, tequila tasting from 101 handpicked brands, interactive art installations and memory-making moments in beautiful park settings."

Interactive art installations are definitely planned for this Gilbert event, and full-service bars and local food vendors will be on site.

Is it even a party anymore with VIP options? No matter the answer, curated VIP experiences will be offered here; never fear.

The ticket presale begins at 10 a.m. PT on August 21, with general on-sale launching Friday, August 22, at 10 a.m. PT. General admission tickets start at just $59 (+ fees & taxes). The event site lets you get tickets and learn about VIP packages, cabanas and any event updates.
