Lil Wayne's summer tour supports June 6 release Tha Carter VI

The rapper with a slew of awards and nominations returns to Phoenix to play through his latest and previous Carter records.

Lil Wayne is releasing his new record Tha Carter VI on Friday, June 6, and plays Madison Square Garden that same night, giving the record a formal launch.

Later this summer, the rapper is going full Carter with a North American tour to support the new album, and the show will feature music from all of the former Carter albums released over the past 20 years. He'll hit Phoenix on Aug. 29 at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, joined by Tyga, NoCap, and Belly Gang Kushington.

Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, June 6.
