Lainey Wilson was in the spotlight in multiple ways at the CMA Awards on Nov. 19. With eight outfit changes in her role as show host, she made the award show into a country ‘fashion week’ event. Worth noting over the run of gorgeous ‘fits is that she’s the first woman to act as solo host for the show. Last year, she co-hosted.

Wilson also took home several awards at the Country Music Association’s 59th annual program, including Entertainer of the Year; she had a total of nine already before the 2025 event. She also turned in some lively performances, including an opening number that married covers by performers like Gretchen Wilson and Riley Green. She boosted that by finding the songs’ original artists in the audience and doing little impromptu duets with them.

She’ll be headed to Arizona in April as one of the headliners of the massive Country Thunder festival. Brooks & Dunn, who won Best Vocal Duo this year and Zach Top, who nabbed the Best New Artist title, are also on the bill.
