Arizona music icon Maynard James Keenan and the rest of Tool announced a new set of dates today, and Phoenix is on the tour schedule.

Tool will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Arizona time on Friday, October 1.

“It is with great pleasure I get to announce our return to the road,” Tool drummer Danny Carey said in a statement. “These past 18 months have been trying to say the least but from great trials come great lessons and great rewards. We are genuinely looking forward to sharing them with you.”

The band last performed in Arizona in January 2020; they were scheduled to tour throughout spring and summer 2020 until the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to cancel.

Tool's latest album is 2019's Fear Inoculum.
