What's Selling: Zia Records Tempe

Though spring break may be fast approaching, college kids are still buying up the latest and greatest at Zia Records in Tempe. Though indie rock typically makes up most of the top ten album sales at this location, there are a few unexpected records that made the cut this week.

While Joanna Newsom tops Zia's list, our Nothing Not New columnist Jay Bennett has some other opinions about it. If Jay's right, maybe these people will try to sell it back after their first listen. You may be surprised to learn that High On Fire's Snakes for the Divine seems to be getting a new kind of following for the band.

Check out the rest of Zia's top 10.

According to Zia employee Randall, "High on [Fire's] Snakes for the Divine...is a really big seller with the younger crowd...[people in their teens] and early twenties. It's not just the metal head crowd...Your common, everyday person is getting into it. And the new Lil' Wayne sucks."

And with that -- the top 10 selling records of the week.

1. Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me
2. Alkaline Trio - This Addiction
3. Johnny Cash - American VI: Ain't No Grave
4. Rob Zombie - Hellbilly Deluxe 2
5. Fear Factory - Mechanize
6. Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
7. High on Fire - Snakes for the Divine
8. Lil Wayne - Rebirth
9. Spoon - Transference
10. Sade - Soldier of Love
