Brewer's spokesman said yesterday that the governor was going to be at Sky Harbor Airport this morning "to welcome President Obama back to Arizona."

Brewer's staff tweeted around noon, "Met with @BarackObama this morning about federal assistance for the #YarnellFire, he assured me he would look into it. Meeting was positive."

For verification, we took a look at some of the press pool photos -- all of them show Brewer behaving, although you can't tell exactly what she was saying, of course.

However, it looks like we're all going to be free from national humiliation for the day.
