It will be interesting for Arizonans to see how the soon-to-be ex-governor handles this important position, especially the issue of illegal immigration. Barack Obama’s decision to pick her for the job has been criticized on a number of fronts.
Napolitano’s confirmation came as part of a package deal with six other Cabinet members; the Senate is expected to vote tomorrow on the confirmation of Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.
Napolitano’s resignation is expected any minute now.
The new governor, Jan Brewer (below), will take her oath of of office Wednesday about 3 p.m. at the State Capitol.
