Independent Journalism in Phoenix Needs You
We need to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
Phoenix may be a particularly pizza-loving town, but that fact apparently wasn’t enough to save Forge Pizza. The 1,500-square-foot restaurant closed its location at the Biltmore Fashion Park earlier this month. The restaurant, which has two sister spots in California, opened in October of last year and specialized in wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas.
The owners announced the restaurant’s closure about a week ago on Facebook:
The fire is out on the Oven of Lovin'. Forge Pizza Phoenix is now closed. Thank you Phoenix for the great times! On to Napa, CA!

The restaurant was located at 2502 East Camelback Road, inside Union at the Biltmore Fashion Park, a shared space within the mall that focuses on local restaurants and stores. Union is still home to three other local food and beverage concepts including Short Leash Hot Dogs, Royal Coffee, and Juic’d Life.
