Bacon-Wrapped Pretzel Baguette, Funnel Cake Chicken Sandwich, Chocolate Churro Coming to Chase Field This Season

The Arizona Diamondbacks are just about ready to begin their 2017 campaign. And while we can’t say for sure if the team will be any good, we can tell you what will be on the menu so you can plan on enjoying a trip to Chase Field this season, win or lose.

On Monday, the D-backs and Levy Restaurants announced a handful of new featured menu items available for the 2017 season at Chase Field. Just like in recent years, there are a few, shall we say, decadent options, in addition to the ballpark classics and usual Chase Field grub.

At the top of this year’s list of featured items is the Bacon-Wrapped Pretzel Baguette. The 12-inch sandwich, served at Taste of Chase in Section 130, comes stuffed with Black Forest ham and Swiss cheese, and is served with jalapeño ranch and honey mustard for dipping.

Also new is the Chicken Enchilada Dog served at Big Dawgs in Section 126. The 18-inch chicken enchilada sausage comes covered in queso blanco sauce, pico de gallo, black olives, sour cream, and tortilla strips on a talera hot dog roll.

You remember the Churro Dog? Well, meet the Churro Dog 2.0, served at all Designated Dessert portables. The new dessert dog features a white iced long john doughnut topped with a churro rolled in Oreo cookie crumbs, frozen yogurt, whipped cream, strawberry topping, chocolate sauce, and more Oreo crumbs.

Dessert continues with the Funnel Cake Chicken Sandwich, also served at Taste of Chase, which pins a crispy chicken fillet, maple syrup, cheddar, powdered sugar, and strawberry jam between two funnel cakes.

The D-backs are again featuring a vegan item at the ballpark this year; the Sonora Vegan Burger comes topped with vegan pepper jack cheese, soy chorizo, chipotle veganaise, cowboy caviar, and guacamole on a wheat bun.

Near Section 105, keep an eye for new concession stand Sizzle & Cheese serving burgers, grilled cheese, and milkshakes. On the beverage side of things, Chase Field will have a new blackberry margarita called “the D-backs Swing,” made with Roger Clyne’s Moonshine Tequila.

There will be additional new items at restaurants and concessions such as Big Dawgs, Burger Burger, A-Zona Mexican Grille, and Carvery Cart.
