There’s no shame in enjoying a Christmas dinner at one of the Valley’s upscale eateries. Hotel restaurants especially want nothing more than for you to ditch the kitchen and spend Christmas Eve, Christmas Day — or both — choosing from their prix-fixe menu or piling it on at the buffet.
Here are 11 restaurants in the Valley offering Christmas Eve and day dining in metro Phoenix. (We'll update this list as we learn about more deals.)
Artizen, Crafted American Kitchen & Bar
2401 East Camelback Road
The Artizen Restaurant is offering a Christmas Eve prix-fixe menu from 5 to 9 p.m. – with smoked butternut squash bisque, braised fennel risotto, and a chocolate yule log – for $54 a guest. Christmas proper, Artizen hosts the Camby's Christmas Brunch Buffet with offerings like root beer-glazed ham, a chilled seafood and charcuterie display, and plenty of mimosas and the house Bloody Mary. Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails
2 East Jefferson Street
The special Christmas Day menu at Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails is loaded with holiday classics and modern dishes. Shareables include the roasted chestnut bisque, corn bread madeleine, and shishito peppers with Sriracha aioli, while those in the mood for just a salad can try the golden beet with Crow’s Dairy quark and pink peppercorn praline. Entrees include a 16-ounce dry-aged Angus prime rib, turkey and dumplings, handmade pasta, and blackened salmon. And for dessert? You’ll just have to see. 5445 East Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley
Mountain Shadows’ restaurant Hearth ’61 is open Christmas day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner depending on your schedule and preference. Choose from the breakfast menu from 6 to 11:15 a.m. or arrive for the prix-fixe holiday menu available from noon to 9:30 p.m. Menu items include butterkin squash soup, lobster shrimp cake, lamb with chorizo bread pudding, short rib with braised rainbow chard, and for dessert, brown butter apple tart. The prix fixe holiday menu is $79, or $21 for children 12 and under. Reservations are required at 480-624-5400.
300 North Wigwam Boulevard, Litchfield Park
The Wigwam Resort's signature restaurant is hosting Christmas meals on both Christmas Eve and the day of with a seasonally inspired, three-course prix fixe dinner menu and a Christmas Lunch Buffet in the Wigwam Ballroom. Christmas Eve dinner is from 5 to 9 p.m. for $62, $22 for kids 4 to 12, and free for kids 3 and under. The lunch buffet is noon to 4 p.m. for $54, $22 for kids 4 to 12, and free for kids 3 and under. Christmas dinner is 3 to 7 p.m. for $62, $22 for kids 4 to 12, and free for kids 3 and under. LON’s at the Hermosa

Visit LON’s at the Hermosa either Christmas Eve or Christmas itself for a three-course prix-fixe menu teeming with Southwestern flair meeting traditional dishes. Think cauliflower-horseradish soup, ricotta gnudi, and crisp pork belly as appetizers, followed by entrees like smoked prime rib with crème fraiche mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese popover or the grilled tomahawk pork chop with roasted winter squash. Dessert features choice of date-rum cake, cinnamon churros, or pavlova with Zak’s chocolate. Cost is $75, $25 for kids 5 to 12, and free for children 4 and under. This Japanese robata is serving dinner Christmas Eve from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Roka Akor is offering a four-course tasting menu with options like grilled pork belly, beet cured salmon, sashimi, yuzi-miso marinated black cod, and rib eye. Royal Palms Resort and Spa

There’s a lot going on at Royal Palms this Christmas. Christmas Eve at T. Cook’s has a three-course, prix-fixe menu from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at $95 per person, $38 for children 6 to 12, and free for kids 5 and under. Christmas Day offers Royal Palms Palmera Brunch Buffet in the Palmera Salon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $85 per person, $38 for children 6 to 12, and free for kids 5 and under. Your other option is T. Cook’s three-course, prix-fixe menu from 11 to 9 p.m. at $95 per person, $38 for children 6 to 12, and free for kids 5 and under. Reservations are recommended at 602-808-0766.
Rusconi’s American Kitchen
10637 North Tatum Boulevard
Spend Christmas Eve choosing from a special three-course menu from Rusconi’s American Kitchen. Select from starters, main entrees, and desserts like lobster bisque with Key West shrimp, boneless beef short rib, wood-grilled aged black Angus New York strip steak, garlic and herb-crusted rack of lamb, and banana and chocolate hazelnut budino. Dinner goes from 5 to 9 p.m. and costs $52 per person. Reservations can be made at 480-483-0009.
Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa
5700 East McDonald Drive, Paradise Valley
The elements restaurant at Sanctuary on Camelback is featuring a four-course dinner served from noon to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day. Start with the white asparagus bisque or holiday country pork pate, followed by the baby beetroot and goat cheese salad. Entree highlights include the pecan-crusted swordfish, coffee-rubbed prime New York strip, and the grilled veal chop “au poivre.” For dessert, try the salted caramel roulade or the warm gingerbread linzer torte. Cost is $115 per person, $35 for children 6 to 12, and complimentary for kids 5 and under.
The Salt Cellar
550 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale
It’s Nantucket Cape scallop season, meaning the Salt Cellar is eager to host Christmas Eve dinner. Try the extremely seasonal Nantucket Cape scallops or choose from their full menu of flown-in seafood that includes the halibut “ceviche” and mussels in butter sauce appetizers, plus the Atlantic halibut, stuffed mountain trout, Florida black grouper, pan fried lobster, and more. Tempo Urban Bistro

Christmas Eve dinner at Tempo Urban Bistro in the West Valley has plenty of holiday specialties. Start with lobster bisque, roasted beet and fig salad, carpaccio of beef tenderloin, and a seafood tower.
