Forget the cranberry sauce? Here are the grocers you can visit this Thanksgiving when Walmart, Costco and more are closed.

Even with the most organized shopping lists, it's easy to forget the cranberry sauce. But running out to the grocery store isn't always a simple task on Thanksgiving Day. Many stores are closed on the holiday and others will close much earlier than usual. One Mesa store might be your saving grace if you need something late.

Here's what you need to know about Phoenix grocery stores' Thanksgiving hours.

Safeway
Valley locations of Safeway will be open during the day on Thanksgiving, but are closing early. Their hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. instead of the regular 10 p.m. closing time.

Albertsons
Albertsons has the same parent company as Safeway. So it makes sense their Thanksgiving hours are the same. Valley Albertsons stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the holiday, closing four hours earlier than their regular 10 p.m. end time.

Bashas'
Basha's stores will be open from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Fry's
All locations of Fry's will be open until 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The pharmacies will be closed all day.

AJ's Fine Foods
If you want to stop by AJ's Fine Foods for some elevated ingredients for a sophisticated Thanksgiving celebration, you'd better do so in the morning. AJ's is open on Thanksgiving starting at 6 a.m., but will close at 2 p.m.

Valley locations of Whole Foods will be open for last-minute shoppers on Thanksgiving morning. The stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Food City
Valley locations of Food City will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

H Mart
The giant produce section at H Mart may be just what Mesa home cooks need on Thanksgiving. And lucky for last-minute shoppers, the store is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Turkey Day, making it the Valley grocer open the latest this holiday.

El Super
El Super stores will be open on Thanksgiving from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Sprouts
Sprouts stores will be open on Thanksgiving from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The health-focused market Natural Grocers will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Sam's Club
Valley locations of Sam's Club will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Walmart
Walmart stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Target
As they prep for a busy Black Friday, Target stores will also be closed on Thanksgiving.
