A Gilbert man was arrested yesterday after police say he bribed a teenage girl with gifts in exchange for sex.

According to Gilbert police, 41-year-old William Flanagan (that's him in the photo) molested his 16-year-old victim several times over a two-year period, with the last incident happening just three weeks ago.

It's unclear what Flanagan's relationship is to the victim or what gifts he was giving her in exchange for the sex.

Police started looking into allegations that Flanagan was molesting the teen after the victim told a friend that he had been having sex with her in exchange for gifts.

The friend called police who launched an investigation.

Flanagan now faces several counts of sexual conduct with a minor, child molestation, and child prostitution.

He was booked into a Maricopa County Jail.
