Ruben Gallego, who's likely to be CD7's next U.S. Congressman, has received an "F" rating from the National Rifle Association, according to the latest grades released by the gun-lobbying group.
Although Gallego, a former Marine, previously had a B+ rating, he's now considered a "true enemy" of gun rights.
Ha. Where was this grade a few months ago?

Gallego's opponents -- namely Wilcox -- came at him with hard and fast attacks about his B+ NRA rating. They also blast him for his one time membership with the NRA.
According to the NRA's Political Victory Fund, a B means a politico is "a generally pro-gun candidate. However, a "B" candidate may have opposed some pro-gun reform or supported some restrictive legislation in the past."
They said he might as well be a Republican, especially since Arizona's Senator John McCain earned the same grade. This was the message Wilcox and her supporters preached prior to the August primary election.
With an F, Gallego is now considered a "true enemy of gun owners' rights. A consistent anti-gun candidate who always opposes gun owners' rights and/or actively leads anti-gun legislative efforts, or sponsors anti-gun legislation," explains the NRA.
That should make Democrats in Arizona feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Gallego is running against Independent candidate Jose Peñalosa and Libertarian candidate Joe Cobb in the November 4 general election.
